I was very sedentary and while I had been building a healthier relationship with food, I still lacked a lot of discipline and consistency. I was also struggling to stay active in my day-to-day life and feeling heavy and lethargic. At the beginning of my Fight Fitness 6 week challenge, I struggled with getting an appropriate amount of rest and feeling like I had to make every meal different and special to stay motivated. This actually made the process even less pleasurable. It wasn’t until I simplified and streamlined my diet that I was reminded my food, while different than I’m used to, could still have flavour, and be healthier and not overly complicated, and that this was actually a positive as it meal prepping easily put together foods made my life easier as well. This helped make my rest and recovery easier between my workouts for the rest of my challenge. Because I was highly motivated to complete the challenge, I was also able to learn how to say no to food in social situations, something that I struggled with greatly before.
After joining Fight Fitness, I was able to lose 23 lb and 4% body fat, and I felt my body composition undergo a significant transformation. What I really gained though was my physical strength and mental discipline. I was getting up at 5am ready to do things and feeling empowered to sleep better and eat more balanced. After an adjustment period, I felt much more energized.
I would recommend this program to anyone who is ready to challenge their own beliefs and limitations about what their bodies and minds are capable of, and who is also ready to do extra, science-based learning about wellness and nutrition to supplement this program.
The process was intimidating at first but the coaches at Fight Fitness made it welcoming and fun, which in turn made it very motivating.

Fight Fitness has helped me be more disciplined with my eating habits. I have learned self control when it comes to cravings and also patience when it comes to my results.

Because of the lockdown during the pandemic, I worked less and was always at home, and because I was earning less income, I ate ‘not-so-healthy’ foods and tried to save money. I sit a lot because I am a piano teacher. I didn’t work out much, but I did try to walk outside more to get some sort of fitness in.
I decided to Join Fight Fitness because I wanted to feel more energetic and feel better than always sitting at home and I wanted to trim down some weight because I definitely gained too much during COVID, especially around my belly area!

Before joining Fight Fitness, I was barely moving around as I sit on a chair most of the day. Energy levels were extremely low and I was fatigued easily. So let’s talk about my habit forming and life-changing weight loss journey I’ve been on. It’s been 16 months since I said to myself that enough was enough and walked into Fight Fit Bootcamps in Stouffville. I told the coaches that I only needed to BREATHE and gain weight so this might not work. But boy was I wrong.
After having two kids, I had to face the reality that my body would never look the same. Yes, I can be proud of those stretch marks, it carried my two babies for 10 months each. I can accept the changes in my chest since they kept my kiddos alive with milk they needed. But what I couldn’t accept was the feeling it gave me. The feeling of inadequacy, of low self esteem, of unhappiness, of self pity and of hope that one day I can lose a few. I was always hiding under baggy clothes, I hated taking pictures and couldn’t even look in the mirror. So one day when my second baby was a year old and wasn’t so needy, I decided to do something for myself for once and took the plunge. Mind you, I started in Fight Fitness Markham 5 to 6 years ago and stopped after I got pregnant with my first. So I always said I would go back to Fight Fitness when I could. I took my first 6 week challenge and then I was hooked! I would reach one goal and then set another. 20 pounds wasn’t enough, I wanted more. 10% BF was too little, I needed more. So FIVE challenges and 16 months later, I am finally where I want to be.
The community at Fight Fitness is amazing. They really make you feel like family. Everyone from coaches and to fellow ninjas are supportive, knowledgeable and the greatest cheerleaders. I am so blessed to have met such great mentors, you truly are my inspiration, each and every single one of you! To my fellow ninjas and pad partners, I couldn’t have met better people to workout with. Always pushing me to do better, lift heavier, run faster and put my gloves higher 😂.
What’s my key to success? A spoonful of determination, a pinch of stubbornness, a cup full of never give up, a whole lot of changing your eating habits and a bit of consistency. I must admit, even at times when I wasn’t on a challenge, I still at a challenge friendly breakfast and lunch. And my dinners always contained no carbs.
All I can say is DON’T QUIT, GO GET IT. If I can do it, anyone can. Just don’t think of it as a restriction and think of it as a lifestyle change and you will reach all the goals.

Before Fight Fitness,I was not very active. I held a gym membership, but used it once or twice per month. My health was heading in the wrong direction – downwards! I was so exhausted to bend and pick up leaves from my property – my knees and back would be so stiff by this light chore. I had so much difficulty to tie my shoes and putting on my ski boots. It was brutal! Finding nice clothes to fit me was getting difficult.
When I reached my goal weight in the 6 week challenge, I was so proud. I knew I could continue and follow the changes to my behaviour to live a healthy lifestyle. The pandemic hit and I started to work from home and it was an adjustment, not to work. I quickly adapted and continued with good eating habits and ensured I had little treats along the way. One of the coach’s tips kept echoing in my ears “as long as the positive out weighs the negatives, you are doing well.”
I worked out lightly and walked daily with family. Now, I can tie my shoes so easily and pick up leaves all day without breaking a sweat!

Before Fight Fit I did not exercise enough. I only did 2 days a week of dragon boat practice in the summer but I had no health issues.
After joining Fight Fit, I lost 30 lb! After 20 lb down I noticed it was easier to keep up in the exercise classes. Although I didn’t have health problems before, I feel healthier now both emotionally by feeling better about my appearance and physically I feel toned and have more energy.
I would recommend this program to anyone with the commitment to not deviate from the instructions…. 100% followed = 100% goal achievement and within the prescribed time period! The club will teach you, but it’s up to you to understand and execute – hard work and paying attention to what you eat.
I’m 50 and through the years gained and lost weight, particularly after kids or a vacation. I noticed as I got older it got much harder to shed the extra pounds. It got to a point where my usual tactics weren’t working so I investigated my options and luckily found Fight Fitness through a friend’s recommendation. Upon joining I lost 20 lb via the 21 Day Challenge. About a year later I changed jobs and was too tired to workout as much, and unfortunately I ate more and gained weight again. When COVID hit, my husband and I decided we’re both 50, out of shape and overweight and so if we get COVID we could be in lots of trouble. We joined Fight Fitness and we followed the program. My first 10 lb were lost between March and July 2020. I accomplished that by just doing the online classes almost every morning and eating lots of low calorie veggies and less animal foods and very little sugar. I then felt stagnated so I did the 7 day cleanse to lose another 10 lb then completed the 21 day program to lose the last 10 lb. The cleanse was the trick for me! The Bonus: they’ve given me the luxury of not being frightened to walk in an underground parking lot or a quiet street by myself if I have too, because they’ve given me tools on how to fight back so at least I have a chance now.

Before Fight Fitness, I never worked out before. I remember I purchased a membership at GoodLife and paid for it for 2 years and used it probably 3 times during those 2 years, I just didn’t feel motivated and didn’t like going there because I didn’t know what to do. Never ate properly and hated veggies! I love hiking but I was so out of shape that I stopped doing that also.
I started with the 6 week challenge and I lost close to 11lbs and up until now I’ve lost close to 30lbs. Sometimes I don’t follow the meal plan 100% but I make sure I workout at least 3 times a week. I gained so much confidence after I because a Ninja at Fight Fit! I immediately started feeling so much better about myself and started doing things that I never thought I’d do!! I started eating a lot of vegetables, I started hiking again, I lift 70kg… it’s been just incredible!
My family and my best friend actually joined before the lockdown and my husband joined but because he works a lot decided to stop (I was upset about it because just doing it online he lost 25lbs!!) but he says he wants to join again in the summer 🙂 1000% SÚPER RECOMMENDED!!

I hadn’t worked out much all throughout COVID, I was on leave from work due to a severe head injury, and I had long lost myself and my way – eating at restaurants or getting takeout a lot, not being active (essentially, ever), feeling weak and easily out of breath, keeping mostly to myself. Overall, indulging in bad habits, living ignorantly blissfully in isolation keeping interactions with others minimal as my perceived preference, sometimes getting the sense of wanting to improve, but quickly “not caring” or not actually being able to follow through on that desire when it would arise and turning a blind eye. I was working with a psychotherapist, an occupational therapist, a pastor, some friends – all very great supports, but progress remained slow.
By the end of the Fight Fitness 6-week challenge, I had lost 7 pounds, 10% body fat, and I gained 6% muscle.
Most importantly, I developed and reconnected a joy, motivation, and actual observed follow-through on exercising and cooking healthy homecooked meals regularly, again.

Prior to working with Fight Fitness, I was focused on my full-time job and being the primary caregiver to my parents when I got home from work. Very little time for me. Tried to fit workouts in, but it was very difficult.
I have lost 27.5 lbs. I am sleeping better, have more energy, feel better about myself in general, and I’m making better food choices in spite of a busy schedule.
I would recommend Fight Fitness to anyone whose goal is to change their lifestyle – not just a focus on weight loss. It needs to be people who recognize a need for holistic change in terms of their health and well-being. It needs to be people who are going to “buy-in” to the program and be committed and willing to work.
The variety in the workouts keep it interesting and fun. The workouts are challenging and the coaches provide modifications based on fitness level and injuries/limitations. No one is left out. All of the coaches are very supportive and encouraging, but will also push you.

I was at 194lb, if not 196lb, in the beginning of the year. I suffered from a serious stomach flu and lost 10lb. And from that point, I realize that I could lose some weight.
Then I decided to give it a try with the Fight Fitness Challenge. With failing experiences (and the $ I spent on programs and treatments) from previous years, my decision was not encoraged by my spouse. But my parents are 200% at my back.
And now I am half way done, from 184lb and 40.4% fat rate to 150lb and 27 – 28% fat rate.

I am extremely happy with the all of the coaches at Fight Fit Markham. Took the plunge in doing the 6 week challenge and very happy that I did (lost 25 lb and 6% body fat). Coach Ken, Rafael, Herman were very motivated for the kickboxing and core classes.
The workouts were very tough but doable as each coach provides a unique experience to increase strength and promote cardio.
